AVALON - a Vintage Mid-Century teak Ladderax style freestanding shelving unit, comprising 1x unit with central drawers, 1x unit with open central shelf, 1x open shelf, 2x black ladder end supports, 6x supporting rods, main unit length 163cm, ladder support height 180cm
Good original condition, all pieces present to construct entire unit, all inner shelves present, sliding doors function properly, no obvious damage.

WILHELM KAGE FOR GUSTAVSBERG - a Mid-Century Swedish green glaze ceramic Argenta vase, circa 1946, tapered cylindrical form with silver overlaid water dragon decoration, maker's stamps on base with model no. 978 II and date letter P, height 21cm
Very good original condition, largest dragon has half of a body scale missing, vase is lightly crazed all over, most of the interior of vase is water stained, no obvious restoration, signatures on base are clear.

MARCO ZANUSO FOR ARFLEX - a late 20th Century Italian Lady lounge chair, red upholstery with steel legs, designed in 1951, this example is a post 1988 re-issue, maker's label woven to back, seat height 40cm
Very good original condition, no holes or tears to upholstery, feet have wear through general use, maker's label present.

ANGELO MANGIAROTTI FOR SECTICON - a Mid-Century T1 desk clock, modern quartz movement, black plastic case with gilded dial and baton hour markers, case height 23.5cm, working order
Good overall working order, movement has been changed to a modern quartz, dial has a few very small areas of surface bubbling, case in good condition with 2 small chips to the plastic along the central join, otherwise just general light wear.

HEZIR GOMES (Brazilian, 1916-1993) - 2 oils on canvas, street facades in Brazil (Ouro Preto), signed and dated 1970, both 34cm x 26cm, framed
Both in very good original condition, no holes, tears or restoration, a couple of tiny paint abrasions around the edges but hardly noticeable, in original frames.

All in very good original condition, no chips, cracks or restoration, all have very light abrasions on bases through general handling, all unsigned.

Online Payment:
With a link on the emailed invoice, online payment is super easy! All items purchased in this sale must be paid online or over the telephone (01424 772374). No cash or debit cards on site will be accepted to protect the safety of you and our staff.
If you would prefer an online bank transfer, all details required can be found on your invoice.
Contact-free Collection:
Our salerooms remain closed to the public. Be sure to let us know when you (or a courier) intend on collecting your items so we can ensure they are ready for a contact-free pass over and try our best to reduce the risk of queues. Please email us (auctions@burstowandhewett.co.uk) with a date and rough time, or telephone us on 01424 772374.
Furniture will need to be loaded into your car/van by yourselves as we can not offer aid with this during the pandemic due to the 2 metre social distancing. Please ensure you bring another person from your household to help you carry your item(s) if needed.
The Granary will also be open Saturday 6th June 9am - 12pm for collections from our sale that week. We kindly ask you to be patient with our staff and to respect the 2 metre distance as we expect this weekend date will be busier than weekdays.
Postage & Packaging:
We can post very small items that will fit in a jiffy bag. Royal Mail Special Delivery. Within UK Mainland £10-£15. International £15-£20. (Dependent upon weight and insurance value).
Unfortunately we do not have the resources inhouse to post larger items. For these, you will need to contact a shipping/courier. We can offer a list of recommendations that the majority of our customers use:
