Preview of the February Antique sale

We are pleased to announce that we are offering this very fine 18th century Indo-Portuguese travelling cabinet in our antique sale next week.
Although these cabinets are extremely rare and collectable items, amazingly this is the 5th one to appear in our sales in the last 2 years. It is in exceptionally good condition, covered in tortoise shell and ivory, the interior also fitted with tortoise shell covered drawers, and is the most intricate example that we have seen. The estimate is £6000-8000.
Also included in this sale is a Charles II ivory-inlaid chest of drawers estimated at £1500-2000, a Dutch marquetry inlaid bombe chest of drawers estimated at £1500-2000, a rare Russian silver and cloisonne enamel Kovsh, a good Clarice Cliff Windbell pattern vase, a 19th century Swiss rosewood and brass inlaid musical box, swords, bronzes, and much more.
